New Years Resolution

In just a week we will be the proud owners of 'a house'. Yes: OWNING a house! I can't tell you how excited I am and can't really count the years I have always wanted to be a part of the great Aussie dream. Home ownership is something I didn't think I would be doing in a long long time. And yes, it is very much the most stressful thing I have gone through. Even worse than posterior natural births!

My New Years Resolution for 2012 was 'to buy a house'. I didn't imagine it would happen so quickly and feel proud that for the first time in my life I've actually achieved a New Years Resolution!

So from a life of vintage 2nd hand shops, I'm now drooling at the prospect of going into a hardware store. Not something I ever would have considered even just last year.

Settlement date 5th March. I cannot wait!

Ohhhhhh! Good find!

I love a good find... today at Salvos I found this gorgeous vintage kids poncho. It's German and heavyweight wool. PERFECT for Miss X when we move back to the Mountains very soon. Beautiful green trim and a hood. $10... what a bargain!

And here is my little puddin' bowl. She is so cute now. 7.5 months old. Theo is such a good sister and adores her. And Theo cannot wait to be heading back to her old stomping ground, the Blue Mountains!
