I just saw that I have 100 subscribers to my blog. Thank you! I was just thinking (not for the first time) that I might close down this blogging account. It has been a fabulous way of documenting my journey so far since starting business in 2006, but I do sometimes forget about it. Especially now that there is something like 'facebook' in the world which makes it so easy to connect and communicate with my fans. Anyway, humbly, thank you...

I have three beautiful 'Myrtle' ballerina bags on sale - this weekend only! They normally retail for $139.95 but I have reduced them to $69.95 including post (Australia-wide). A fab present for yourself or you can be generous and buy up for a loved one for Christmas. I have one of these bags that I use as my everyday bag and just love it. Big enough to get the essentials in but not a huge tote to be lugging around all day.

This morning I was feeling creative. I only had one child hanging off me and thought it would be possible to do a tiny amount of sewing. Tiny equals two cushion covers... and that was almost impossible. I had two IKEA rectangular cushions for my girls beds but they were a very modern fabric and didn't suit the decor. So I looked thru an old suitcase of fab vintage upholstery fabrics (I have three suitcases sitting here that do need a good rummage) and chose two different ones for the girls. Just a straightforward job, not difficult, yet it took ages. I had to keep removing pins from little fingers, had to insist my 18 month old stop pushing the peddle down under my feet and just generally stay away from the sewing machine with all it's wonderful buttons. Perhaps it's time to get them both into sewing?

And finally... life in Mount Victoria. This house, this village, this community is wonderful. Since moving here in March this year I really feel like I have come home. We have such a gorgeous little house, great garden and the vegie patch is taking off. Next stop chooks apparently! I am considering a blog just on our renovations and life in a house being renovated all on a budget. I'm just not sure... feedback?
